The Global Empretec Forum was an opportunity to connect the Banco de Costa Rica with the community of entrepreneurs, micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SME) associated with CELIEM, aiming to highlight their efforts towards MSME growth.
Small and medium-sized enterprises are a crucial pillar for the economic and social development of our country. Their versatility allows them to be present in many sectors of the economy (commerce, agriculture, services, technology, tourism, among others), generating a value chain that strengthens the national economic system.
The importance of SMEs is widely recognized by the Banco de Costa Rica, which, with the objective of continuing to support the sustainable growth of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises, has created its program: "Creer para Crecer" (Believe to Grow), where it brings together all its products, services, and financial tools aimed at the SME segment.
This program supports economic growth with collective well-being, accompanying SMEs in strengthening technical and soft skills that support the evolution of their business. It also facilitates financial education processes and provides information about BCR’s extensive commercial portfolio and its subsidiaries.
